Rubber roofs are made of EPDM (Ethylene-Propylene-Dien-Monomer), which is a 100% synthetic monolayer membrane vulcanized in layers of various thicknesses, chemically stable and with virtually unlimited UV resistance and should only be installed by licensed Parker roofers in the area. EPDM does not contain plasticizers.

Since 50 years ago, when the first EPDM rubber membrane was installed, billions of square meters have been installed around the world, for various applications, ranging from flat roofs to pools for water storage. Manufacturers review annually membranes installed several decades ago and the tests show that their mechanical performance is still good and does not require replacements.

No other waterproofing membrane has succeeded in approaching or matching such longevity and performance, which is why the use of EPDM increases exponentially every year.

The extraordinary extension of over 300% is also a parameter that gives the EPDM the advantage of taking over the mechanical stress as no other material can do. EPDM waterproofing systems are flexible, capable of absorbing the dimensional changes of the support on which they have been applied, modifications resulting from constructive flaws, uneven drainage or landslides. EPDM membrane waterproofing systems can be used and installed in any kind of climatic conditions, keeping their flexibility even in very low temperatures (-40 degrees Celsius).

Moreover, the green roofs that are growing in popularity these days are waterproofed with EPDM membrane precisely because of its exceptional longevity and elasticity. The EPDM membrane is resistant to root penetration and comes prefabricated in any required size.
